Opting out from church has become a fascinating trend. We want to look at the evidence both international and local, and see what it means. Frequent statements indicate that people who feel damaged by the institutional actions of churches have sought to develop their own faith practices and communities.
This seminar will use historical evidence, sociological trends and theological readings to help gain a better understanding of this trend, and place it within the spectrum of ecclesiastical and theological and spiritual patterns.
It is hoped that this seminar will be an opportunity for those who have disconnected and those who have not, to talk freely with each other and share ideas, for the issues raised are important to all.
Cost: $40 earlybird if paid prior to the seminar. Or $45 if paid on the day.
